マリスト・イングリッシュ・スクールでは、子どもたちがリラックスした雰囲気の中で、楽しく英語を学べるよう心がけています。そのために、英語のゲームやプロジェクトと、リーディングやライティングといった伝統的なアカデミックなアクティビティを、適切なバランスで提供することを目指しています。
レッスンの内容や指導法は、各クラスのニーズに合わせて教師が常に更新し、生徒一人ひとりが適切なレベルでチャレンジできるようにしています。
すべてのクラスは、英語を母国語とする教員資格を持つ教師が担当し、バイリンガルの日本人アシスタントがサポートします。教師と生徒の強い信頼関係が、快適な学習環境を促進しています。
マリスト英語学校には2つのプログラムがあり、それぞれ異なる年齢層を対象としています。
平日プログラムは小学生を対象としており、月に3回、水曜日と木曜日に午後4時～5時と午後5時～6時のセッションがあります。
サタデースクールプログラムは月に3回、午前10時～午後1時に開催され、下級クラスでは幼稚園年長（4～6歳）、上級クラスでは小学1～3年生を受け入れています。

Marist English School Coordinator and Head Teacher
Mark first came to Japan in 1998 to teach ekaiwa. He holds a Master of Education degree from Queens College, New York, and has taught Social Studies at Marist Brothers International School for nearly twenty years. Mark has been part of the Marist English School program for over ten years and has been coordinating the program since 2021. He’s proud that Marist English School is an environment where students can learn English in a fun and relaxed environment while building positive relationships with other children and the adults who teach them.
Head Teacher
Holding a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Willamette University, Chris has been a dedicated educator since 2009. His teaching career has spanned multiple countries, from teaching English as a second language in Korea to English Language Arts in the United States, and most recently, in Japan. Chris began teaching English Language Arts at Marist Brothers International School in 2016 and joined the Marist English School as a head teacher in 2021. His teaching style is uniquely balanced, offering lessons rich in vocabulary, steeped in culture, and grounded in phonics, making for an engaging and comprehensive educational experience.
Assistant Teacher
Kate holds a Graduate Diploma in Education from Griffith University in Australia. She taught in the UK and Australia for 4 years and has 7 years of experience teaching English in Japan. She has been part of Marist for 2 years and has been working at Marist English School since 2023. Kate prides herself on helping students challenge themselves and develop self-confidence.
Assistant Teacher
Miho has been with Marist Brothers International Brothers since 2013 and has been a valuable member of the Marist English School ever since. She’s an experienced Japanese teacher and has been a valuable member of the Marist English School for the duration of h. As an assistant teacher, she feels it’s important to ensure students are comfortable and happy as they learn.

Hiroko taught English to small children at AEON Amity for 5 years before coming to Marist English School. She has been an assistant teacher at Marist English School since 2012 and is happy to establish strong relationships with students and watch their development.
ウィークデイプログラム、サタデースクールプログラムともに、9月～6月の間、月3回のレッスンを行います。サタデースクールの生徒は、レッスンを欠席した場合、第4土曜日に2時間の補講を受けることができます。
平日レッスンは水曜日と木曜日に開講され、午後4時～午後5時と午後5時～午後6時の2つのセッションがあり、各セッションで生徒の構成や能力が若干異なります。新入生は、自分に最も適したレッスン・グループに参加することをお勧めします。
サタデースクールのレッスンは10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.で、家庭から持参した昼食を取る休憩時間があります。サタデースクールの生徒は、お弁当の他に水筒を持参する必要があります。保護者の方は午後1時にお迎えに来てください。
